August Workshops *
There is no better time than now.
Designed to relax and reconnect you to your Creative Self, the Reset Ritual offers a dedicated space for stillness, recalibration, and attunement.
In an intimate setting, you are gently guided through practices that cultivate awareness: journaling, breathwork, meditation, and shared conversation, including a simple, seasonal vegetarian meal. Inspired by the “back to school” feeling we get in August, this edition of The Reset Ritual will explore themes of motivation, curiosity, and renewed focus as we consider what we want to work on heading into fall, offering a meaningful opportunity to enter the new season with greater presence and awareness.
Whether you’re feeling depleted or simply ready for a moment of self-care, this gathering centers on nourishment and renewal. It’s a response to the exhaustion of constant output, production, and expectation, offering a way back to your own inner voice.
This edition of the workshop will be held at the Brick and Mortar Gallery, from 11am-1pm.
Designed to help you deepen your understanding of your own creative process, this intimate workshop unfolds in an inspiring setting where we’ll explore the practices of featured artists alongside the perspectives of our small group.
Our 3-hour workshop begins with a welcome, a tour of the exhibit, then a talk focusing on our featured artists, exploring what makes their work distinct and gaining insight into various techniques and artistic journeys.
A light vegetarian meal will be served, followed by thoughtful group discussion to reflect, exchange ideas, and connect. To conclude, you’ll be guided through a creative exercise using journaling, sketching, or both, an opportunity to capture insights and explore your own artistic process in real time.
This edition of the workshop will be held at the Brick and Mortar Gallery, featuring the outsider art exhibition Deep Fried Folk, with work by Howard Finster, Mose Tolliver, Butch Anthony, R.A. Miller, Jim Sudduth, and Purvis Young.
11am-1pm
